All the reviews here are legit as I experienced it first hand. Highly recommended!!! Ive been searching for a thorough, quality, honest and value for the money building/house inspection report. “Auckland Affordable Inspect a Home by William” really delivers.William went over and beyond for the inspection. A very detailed and thorough check with every nook and cranny that he can findas minor as screws that can lead to a potential huge repair to major truss hangers issue on your roof beam. Pointed out major issues that needs to rectify and some minor issues that needs to highlight.Really glad I went through the inspection for even a brand new house. And specially inspected with William. Most REA wont recommend it just because its brand new house, “waste of money” as it passes CCC , covers with master builder warranty and etc. A minimal fee is nothing for your almost million dollar house purchase and peace of mind.

Communication was prompt and lovely and presentation is extremely professional. They set a high standard for property inspection in New Zealand.The inspection is extremely detailed which is an understatement as no words can really describe how detailed it was. This is definitely not just your simple checklist building inspection. William puts tremendous effort in compiling a total inspection profile of the inspected property. Every sign of concern that can be picked up by an experienced surveyor and builder but invisible to the layman are covered, explained and solutions presented. And don’t skip on the repair estimations add on. It could be a costly mistake not to add this on as this could be used for negotiation or future budgetary considerations. The complete verbal and written report would be the best option as William go through with you thoroughly over the report in even more detail and valuable recommendations. By the end, not only would you be able to make a genuine decision whether to purchase the property but you would understand the property like never before. And if you are a layman to property and construction, you will learn so much just by immersing yourself in the report.You will gain tremendous amount of value for the amount you invest in Williams service, especially for property purchases that could are extremely high stake investments. The rating is definitely not a fluke, it is very well earned and deserved. To the extent that some vendors would post and retaliate, it shows the dedication of William to his client to make sure that they get value for the service they paid and the faith they have in his work and experience 🙂

We hired this company for our first home inspection. From the first consultation, Jenny provided us with detailed and detailed explanations and suggested which services would suit us.On the day of the inspection, William arrived earlier than us, flew a drone to inspect the roof and surrounding areas of the house, and took a close look at every corner of the fence. He took us around everywehre he inspected and showed us both outside and inside of the house in detail and advised us on what parts we should request for repairs and how we should maintain our new home so that it can last a long time.We didn't know much about houses and didn't have enough knowledge to inspect them. William considered that explained each part in detail and explained the technical parts we needed help understanding in an easy-to-understand way.We were more than satisfied with the time, effort, and service he provided, and thanks to him, we learned how to purchase and maintain our new home well. We highly recommend this company to everyone!

William is not the kind of person to simply skim through everything and put together a report before saying goodbye. He carefully reviews every detail, takes the time to explain everything, and, most importantly, stands firmly on the client’s side, fully supporting them by helping to find solutions and negotiating with vendors. His fee is reasonable considering the high level of service he provides. I’d rate him 110 out of 100 and cannot recommend him highly enough!

Did a combo inspection (verbal and written). We were very impressed and grateful for William and Jenny for their services. William is knowledgeable, thorough and has the clients' best interests at heart. We highly recommend the combination building inspection (verbal and written). For the verbal inspection, William takes you through the building inspection and walks you through all his findings and gives you practical solutions/ways to fix minor faults and lots of handy tips! Bring a notebook as his tips are super valuable. We have used William and Jenny's building inspection services twice now and will definitely use them in the future. Even the real estate agent was very impressed with William and Jenny and said they are more thorough compared to other inspectors. Jenny was communicative and flexible and helped us get a last minute building inspection. The written report came back fast (and still incredibly thorough). I engaged William and Jenny to do a building inspection report for me. I went with the combined verbal and written report option. During the inspection I accompanied William as he gave a running commentary on what he was seeing and his thoughts. This gave perspective to the magnitude of the issues and also handy tips. The written report I received the next evening further clarified my understanding of the issues and allowed me to discuss with others. I also engaged William who is a qualified quantity surveyor to provide estimated range of remediation costs for the issues identified. This helped me quanitfy the magnitude of the issues I would inherit as well as with the negotiations with the vendor. I can't thank William and Jenny enough, really appreciate your work 🙏

I absolutely recommend William and Jenny for Builder's Inspections. They were flexible with the date, and conducted a thorough inspection, providing a very comprehensive report two days after. William found a number of significant issues which led to us successfully negotiating a lower purchase price.William is generous to share his expertise with weatherproofing. If you attend the inspection he will give you lots of maintenance advice verbally about affordable DIY solutions to many of the issues. Bring a notebook! We’ve done a few building inspections in the past and William and Jenny definitely shone above the rest with their customer care and “after-care” service. What really impressed me was the phone call I had with William after we had the report so he could explain everything in everyday language and actually explain what need to be done and roughly how much it would cost. Furthermore he emailed me recommendations of tradespeople who could do the jobs. I have had building inspection of other houses with other companies and I’ve felt lost and not sure what the scope of repair or cost is going to be and therefore made the decision for buying the house even harder! I definitely did not feel that this was the case for our house that we purchased.I highly recommend William and Jenny!

Great communication with Jenny and William was very thorough during the inspection and explained everything very well to us so we could understand. William and Jenny did a building inspection for a very old property that we were looking at buying in Auckland. They organised it for us with only a few days notice and provided the report with really quick turnaround.William is very knowledgeable and answered all my questions (and there were a lot of questions!), and the report goes into the smallest detail. William has the knowledge and skill to explain everything to those of us who know nothing about construction. They even looked over the roof with a drone and provided pictures!I highly recommend Auckland Affordable Inspect a Home and we will definitely be using them again in future. William provided an extremely thorough, professional and helpful inspection of the property. The review below is from an unhappy vendor as we decided in the end not to purchase the house due to it asking a lot more than the CV and the condition of the house.He also goes the extra mile with his clients in understanding what to look for when you're a first time buyer and what maintenance would be required to get a property up to scratch.I will be using William again as he provides one of the best building inspections out there and wouldn't think to go anywhere else after the level of service I have received from him.Cheers
